GODhack,
I am happy to report that LinuxQuestions.org now fully supports
tagging. This will allow you to classify your threads beyond just the
hierarchical forum system. Tags are like keywords or labels that you can
add to a post. They can be used in a variety of ways, including helping
you categorize a post and allowing you to specify multiple keywords for
a post. Visit
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions ... p?t=433096 for
more information on the LQ tagging system.
We have now added "View Latest Threads" to the Quick Links nav up
top. By default this will show you all threads from the last week, but
you can easily change that. This search doesn't do the caching that
"View New Posts" does, so it will never time out. It will also allow you
to easily go back to arbitrary times if you have, for instance, let a
session expire without being able to see all the new posts since your
last visit. In addition to the "0 replies" rewrite we recently did, this
should now make all functionality superior to any previous version of
LQ, with you having the choice to use the implementation that suits your
browsing habits.
Have you been to LQ Bookmarks recently? LQ bookmarks allows you
to bookmark, tag, annotate and share links to Open Source and Linux
related sites. It also allows you to access your bookmarks from any browser
on any machine. The ability to share and see what others are sharing is
called social bookmarking. By viewing what sites others have
bookmarked, you can also use LQ Bookmarks to find a variety of useful sites.
Visit http://bookmarks.linuxquestions.org/ to start sharing your bookmarks
now.
